SEEd Fund

The SHRS Experiential Education (SEEd) Fund aims to allow every SHRS student the opportunity to explore their potential and create new pathways towards impactful health care careers by stepping out of the classroom and experiencing the world around them.

The SEEd Fund will provide students with mini grants to pursue new experiences that enhance their education such as travel to developing communities around the world, cutting edge original research, attendance at national conferences, or participation in an internship or community service project. Every student should have the chance to have these formative experiences as they chart their own course and define their career paths.

What defined your experience here at Pitt? Your gift to the SHRS Experiential Education (SEEd) Fund will make that experience possible for a student today.

Community Outreach Fund

Serving the community is at the core of every health profession within SHRS and our students, faculty, and alumni live that mission every day as clinicians, educators, advocates, and caretakers. The Community Outreach Fund provides financial support to students, faculty, and programs in SHRS that directly impact those in need.

From the brand-new Community Engagement Center and impending opening of the Wellness Pavilion in the Homewood community to other clinical locations and service-oriented settings, SHRS community outreach programs target populations in the greatest need of their care , including myriad interventions, treatments, counseling, and classes to help break down barriers to live longer and healthier lives.

You can support Pittsburgh’s most under-served communities by making a gift to SHRS's Community Outreach Fund . Your gift will go directly to supporting these pro bono community intervention/treatment programs and the students and faculty who provide their services and support every day.
