Established in 2017, Pitt Cyber tackles the critical technology policy questions shaping our world today. Our collective of researchers from across the University of Pittsburgh create actionable proposals to address current issues and fundamental insights to understand the future as it arrives. From supporting and advancing early-stage faculty research to teaching the next generation of cybersecurity talent to creating practical policy responses to cyber-related injustices, our work seeks to address vital questions at the intersection of technology, law, and policy.
Your gift to the Pitt Cyber general fund helps support programming in our key initiatives:
• Pitt Cyber’s Air Force Association CyberCamp--our annual cybersecurity camp for high school students--makes our region's tech pipeline more inclusive
• Pitt Cyber’s policy research has a direct impact, whether it’s ensuring Pennsylvania’s secure elections with The Blue Ribbon Commission on Pennsylvania’s Election Security or helping to make the Pittsburgh region a leader in algorithmic accountability with the Pittsburgh Task Force
• Pitt Cyber Accelerator Grants continue to drive novel and innovative multidisciplinary cyber research across Pitt with early-stage grants for bleeding-edge faculty research.
